Low Sight Riser Options

Post by lyoke2 »

I am looking for low sight riser options. Around 4mm. There are a couple of options that I have seen from MEC and Tec Hro. They look like the screw in from the top. I use Tec Hro 2.0 for my other positions and I would like to use these just for prone.

Are these a pain to put on and take off? Are there other recommendations?

The risers that screw in from the top are more for permanent mounting. They can be taken on and off, but they are a pain. And they ding or mar whatever they are screwed onto.

There is a 4 mm riser set Anschutz makes that basically squeezes onto the rail by your sights. It’s AHG Item Number 6923. They don’t look like much, but they do work, are easy to take on and off, and won’t mar your rail. The one catch is your sight screw that clamps your sight onto the rifle needs to be in contact with the riser rail so the riser can squeeze onto your rifle rail.

Awesome,

I think this is exactly what I am looking for! Now I just need to find them in the states.

Thank you!

I got a set a few years ago from Neal Stepp in Ft. Worth (ISS-International Shooters Service). His website is not the greatest, but he has a pretty large inventory of target shooting equipment. It’s best to give him a call, and he can probably get you the risers if he doesn’t have any in stock.
