They are both excellent pistols. The design is very similar, but the LP10 has a ported barrel and a moving device that reduce the "recoil" to nearly nothing. On the LP1 you will notice a small muzzle flip when shooting. The position of the rearsight is adjustable on the LP10, but not on the LP1 (you may extend the sightline by moving the sight backwards).
If you buy a new pistol, then why not buy the latest and hopefully best, the LP10. But if you buy second hand, and save some money buing an LP1, then go for it. Both pistols can take you to an Olympic gold, and there is currently nothing indicating that the LP10 give any better results than the LP1.

As just an average idiot that had the chance to try both at the same time...
I loved the LP10. The grip was better (for me) and I loved the feel of the gun.
I spent the extra money for the 10 and do not regret it.
I dont see a person making a bad decision either way.

After reading several very good comments public and private, I plan on buying the LP10, unless i come across a realy good deal on an LP1 and thanks for the advice.
