Roosevelt proposed an organization to better prepare American
citizens for the possibility of war through marksmanship
training and competition. The 100th anniversary of
Roosevelt's vision--the founding of the Civilian Marksmanship
Program and the National Matches-- was celebrated at this
year's National Matches at Camp Perry.

of 27 state champion teams competed in the National Junior
Olympic Championship in Wilmington, North Carolina. Shelby
County High School Marine Corps JROTC from Shelbyville,
