Improve your scores and batch test your ammunition at the Eley Mobile Test Range June 18-23 at Midwest Shooting Center in Cridersville, OH. Located off I-75. 85 miles from Toledo, 91 from Columbus, 118 from Cincinnati, 167 from Indianapolis. 145 miles from Detroit. 275 miles from Allentown.
The testing process takes approximately three hours, during which 40 shots will be fired from 18 batches of Eley Tenex to compare their performance. Our proprietary software uses individual shot data to statistically analyze the performance of each batch and provide the greatest possible assessment of accuracy.
Cost is $100. to test (with 18 lots—that’s $127. worth of ammo alone)
Commitment is to for a half case purchase. Note: bring a control ammo to compare. If we cannot produce better results, you are not obligated to purchase.
You are welcome to stay and observe while your rifle is tested. Or, you may drop it off and pick it up later that day or later in the week. We have facilities to secure your rifle. The range has comfortable accommodations and some indoor pistol shooting available.
Other grades of ammunition will also be available for purchase. If you would like to test some of those, you may purchase just the rounds you use and pay your own range fees to test yourself (we only test Tenex and Edge). See the website for Midwest Shooting Center at www.midwestshootingcenter.com. Range fees are $20. first hour and $10. subsequent hours.
Junior Shooters/Junior Clubs desiring to test guns with Eley Edge: we can test about 10 lots for a $50. test fee and commitment to ½ case purchase of the best grouping lot.
To reserve a spot, contact Michele Makucevich at 401-714-3668 or michelem@eleyammunition.com. We can only book three guns a day, so space is limited.

Re: Eley Testing available in Ohio June 18-23
Please explain the testing procedure. 40 shots total? Action clamped or stock? Number of shots per batch? Test distance? Thanks
Re: Eley Testing available in Ohio June 18-23
If it's anything like the UK range, you fire 10 shots from each batch (including a reference lot, if you have one) at 50m. Then a further 30 from each of the most promising batches. The barrel is tested out of the stock, in a chassis that's clamped into the vice.proneshooter wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2019 6:13 am Please explain the testing procedure. 40 shots total? Yes, it is like the UK range. We will have 18 lots of Tenex available to test at 50 meters. A total of 40 shots will be fired in the best grouping lots. We secure the action without the stock, though you should plan on attaching whatever you normally have on your rifle (front sight, tuner, extension tube, etc.) Our proprietary software uses individual shot data to statistically analyze the performance of each batch and provide the greatest possible assessment of accuracy. Measurements are made of the group size as well as the projected score on the international target.
As the available range goes out to 100 yards, we are looking at possibly setting up for that as well. (I cannot promise this yet, but, we are working on it). We will have other grades of ammo available at the site and, if you wish, you can purchase varying amounts to test on your own on an adjacent point.
