Replacing the rear sight of a Toz35m
Any suggestion on a cost effective replacement?
(I assume I will need some work to adapt the frame attachment).
I was looking at the sight of the Steyr Evo 10, but buying that new is $300+
Thanks

Re: Upgrading the rear sight of a Toz35m
If you want to keep the original Toz rear sight adjustment system, then you don't need to buy complete rear sight.
Steyr LP10 rear sight carrier was "only" 159 eur when I bought it.

The price may be different from your local dealer...

Upgrade? I think my TOZ sight is just fine, though I did cut the notch into a "U" with a 3/16 inch chainsaw file.
Re: Upgrading the rear sight of a Toz35m
My wooden box of TOZ parts came with 4 or 5 different rear blades. I can't think of what you might want upgrade as it is stone reliable..... Andrew Berryhill sells parts for TOZ sights......
Re: Upgrading the rear sight of a Toz35m
Same here, I have two pistols and they both came with all the blades.
I like to work on one of the pistols though, it's a hobby, and now it's time for the sight to go.
The breech lever is next, and then a compensator.

What do you mean by upgrade?

Re: Upgrading the rear sight of a Toz35m
Upgrade is probably a poor choice of words, I should have said "change" perhaps.
I like the look of the rear sight in the Steyr Evo 10 and I like that the gap can be adjusted (width and depth) without removing the blade, but as I said, It's mostly to swap parts and modify the pistol for fun
Re: Replacing the rear sight of a Toz35m
You could also consider Walther SSP rear sight. Costs less than Steyr LP10 or EVO sight...

I put the complete morini rear sight on mine. Way better than the toz. Wasn’t cheap or easy.

That is a matchguns sight on the picture above.
You can easily change the blade to a Pardini blade.
You need 2 screws, for example m2 thread, and 2 nuts to go with them.

that is the matchgun, i gotta find the p44 picture now. I did the pardini blade thing.... it was nice but i needed a higher front sight for the sight picture i wanted. It also doesn't alleviate the backwards and elevation knob.j danielsson wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 2:53 pm That is a matchguns sight on the picture above.
