Re: air pistol components
I'll save Rover the effort.
1. Absorber - nothing of value
2. Compensator - nothing of value
3. Stabilizer - (You guessed it) nothing of value
Re: air pistol components
not very helpful...
i know these have to do with recoil reduction, but i was under the impression they are different names of the same "system"
but now i have seen all 3 as distinct points in a pistol presentation

Re: air pistol components
1) absorber - usually a moving counter mass driven by pawl/spring or air pulse
2) compensator - directional porting on the end of barrel.
3) stabilizer (gas ports) - drillings in barrel usually mid barrel.

Re: air pistol components
OK, now you know, but did it in any way help you?
William had it right.

Re: air pistol components
This is a good question. The mechanics of each have been identified, above. The real answer is actually less about what each maker's individual solution is for perceived recoil and/or muzzle flip, and more about what you determine each individual solution is doing for you. Often, a simple weight placed at the muzzle end of the pistol does more for a pistol shooter, than any of the above. By the way, not everyone posting on here is a curmudgeon/roadman. Please, ask questions and many here will try to help.
Kind regards,

Rog, it's the old story about the light plane pilot whose nav systems go out somewhere over western Washington state, so he radios for anybody who can help tell him where he is. Unfortunately, the first to respond was the Microsoft Tech Support Center who informs him, "Sir, you're in an airplane."

Tower..."But what is your actual height and position ?"
