What effect does iT have if i adjust my trigger sideways? My finger doesnt lie comfortabel on the triggershoe and i cant twist the triggershoe itself. However i can move the trigger sideways.

You can do that, but the off axis force on the trigger will usually end up introducing a small sideways twisting motion to the alignment of the sights & barrel. The further off axis it is, the more torque (twist) it will apply to the pistol. How important this is to your scores is something you will have to evaluate.

As long as you are VERY consistent, you should be able to compensate for any twisting with a sight adjustment.

You may also be able to get an aftermarket trigger that can be twisted. That would allow twisting the face of the trigger so that the force you apply from the offset trigger is canceled by the sideways force you apply due to the angle of the trigger face. That's a pretty tricky balancing act...

Ideally, you would be better off with a grip that allowed you to reach the trigger when it is centered under the barrel.

I had to move my trigger laterally to the left of the barrel. As long as the pull direction is fore/aft in a straight line, the gun will not rotate. It is important to minimise rotation forces involved in trigger pull, and you do that by not pulling tbe trigger in an arc. I also use the bare minimum 1st stage pull distance to keep motions to a minimum. Ultimately Gwhite is spot on that residual movement, if consistant, can be dialed out, but trying to kill the motion should be tbe first choice.......

I tried a TEC-HRO shoe , it has the points on the blade like the MEC, I found it uncomfortable during a 60 shot match, probably not a problem for a rifle shooter with a lighter trigger pull.

I also tried the TEC-HRO and it now resides on my Walther KK300 rimfire!

Favourite trigger I've used and keep going back to is the Lottes trigger - (https://www.lottessporttechnik.de/produkte/putter/)

Currently using a Maestro design trigger - (https://www.maestro-design.co.uk/produc ... 2-trigger/).

For a Steyr pistol you need to order the model for "Feinwerkbau / Hämmerli / Thomas", not "Steyr", and with a craft knife, shave off a very small amount on each top edge so that it'll fit on the rail. For the price, and given the multiple shoe designs available, I thought it was worth a go and enjoying it so far.

Note that every time you change the trigger and/or position, you need to check the trigger pull weight as that will change as well.

Yesterday I went to krale-Schietsport a few kilometres and bought / replaced it with the MECII trigger. Didn’t tried it yet, but I keep you guys posted.
