Anschutz 2002 SSP alternate butt-plates?

Post by acorneau »

Howdy folks,

I've got an Anschutz 2002 SuperAir and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is/was a replacement butt-plate that has less of a protrusion at the bottom, more like a traditional rifle butt-plate?

For reference, here is a picture of what's on my rifle now.

Thanks.

I could be wrong, but it looks like a 1903 buttplate might fit.

That's the 4709 butt that came with the 1407 and 1807 rifles. I don't think the base unit is the same as the 1907/2002.

To the OP, the tail at the toe of the butt is solid rubber AFAIK, you could trim it flatter with a knife.

Sure, I could cut it or grind it down but I'm hoping I can find a suitable replacement so I can keep the original intact.

I'll keep looking around but I may just have to make something myself.

I have an older rubber bp from a 1411. I just tried it on my 2002 ssp and it does fit. It has significantly smaller
point at the bottom.
Send me your email and I will send a pic of it.
