I need a small spotting scope to fit inside my gunbox which is a modified Pachmayr. My Kowa 501 will not fit. My mini Chinese scope has different threads than the Gil Hebard mount. Any suggestions for someone on a budget?

Find a decent sized camera shop who has a 3/8-1/4 thread adaptor and you will be able to use the NG scope. Less than $5. It's used for fitting East European cameras to standard thread tripods.
