Anybody read this book?

Heard positives about this book from an ISSF shooter and I wonder if anybody here has read it and their opinion on it:

from the amazon description, it sounds as having nothing to do with ISSF shooting.

It mentions holsters, fast drawing, the author appears two-hand holding shooting at cans.............. doesn't seem to me it's oriented to precision match shooting.

But unless someone has read it, the only way for you to alleviate your doubts is buying it, I wouldn't.

I concur with atomicgale, as I bought some time ago exactly the book he mentions at Amazon, it's worth every penny.

I was surprised it was copyrighted 1980, and still managed to stay updated.

We agree on that and I do have it ^.
The Gil Hebard book could be another definitive work if it were to receive a better editing and printing treatment.
The #1 on my list is however a book that was not quite finished by Don Nygord before his death and circumstances didn't contribute to see it published.
Back to the book in the OP, I was hoping that it might contain some helpful tidbits on air guns. I'm becoming addicted to the .177 class.

Hey Guys,

Just thought I'd let you know, I was reading this post, then went to Amazon to read the excerpt on the U.S. Army Manual suggested by atomicgale. Just those few paragraphs addressed some questions I had, to the point that I was already trying a new stance in my room while reading it, and it caused me to reevaluate the very first and very important step of having a good stance to start off with. I never considered that some of the wobbles I had were from my stance, and that I was putting pressure in the wrong place on my feet. Incredibly helpful. I could feel the difference immediately.

If the rest of the book is that informative and specific, taught in an easy to understand, common-sense way, it would be a major addition to anyone's library. I bought it on the spot. Better hurry, not many left, and most books like this go for $90 or more.

Consensus is that U.S. Army Pistol Marksmanship is a GREAT BOOK. For the modern HARDCOPY version it's Five Bucks on Amazon, i.e. write notes in it, photocopy pages, throw it against the wall . . .
