FWB 2800?
Does anyone know if FWB 2800 (or the next version after 2700) is coming any time soon? As far as I know they introduced 24mm versions just recently, so perhaps next version is not coming so soon? I am considering buying own small bore rifle (now I am using a borrowed one), but I can wait for a year or so, if a new version is coming.
Re: FWB 2800?
Not sure if a new model is on the way but early in the new year can be a popular time to announce a new product. I did notice on the FWB web site that some of the small bore rifle pictures show a rounded black bolt handle and others the standard metallic cylindrical shape. Perhaps it's a sign of things to come or just a variation of what they offer, not sure.
Re: FWB 2800?
The rounded black bolt handle is not a new development; those are probably old photos from when the 2700 was launched about 10 years ago. The silver cylindrical handle replaced the black ball within the last five years.
As far as I'm aware FWB have always made the 2700 (and the 2602 before it) with a 24mm diameter barrel.

Feinwerkbau also makes a 2700 'Leicht' which has a 22mm fluted barrel which I believe they are referring to.
Re: FWB 2800?
I asked FWB, they said a new small bore rifle is not in process of planning at the moment.

Looks like there is a new FWB smallbore in the works for 2018:

Sweet! Since new small bore target rifle models only come around once a decade (maybe) it will be nice to see what this new boom stick will looks like.

Certainly looks to have a few details that distinguish it from the current crop. Can't wait to find out more details.

That is interesting. It reminds me of a turnbolt Blazer. Does the receiver extend back under the open bolt, or is it supported by the stock? There doesn't look to be much meat behind the lug recesses, although the barrel is well supported.
I hope the wrist of the stock is reinforced, because it's awfully thin.

Close up on that bolt...
Spring loaded? Possibly the easiest right to left hand bolt change ever? https://www.facebook.com/All4shooters.d ... 896433557/
