Is it possible to Teflon coat an Air Pistol, I own a Walther LP300 and would like to teflon coat the barrel and cylinder. Will this spoil the blueing?

i remember reading an article that doing so will actually be counter effective. the effects of the teflon on the bullet/pellet is too inconsistant.
