Hi everyone. Im interested in getting into the sport. Can anybody suggest some books or videos that may help with the basics? Thanks in advance. Jeph.

==========
I'm going to assume you want to shoot target pistol.
My three favourite books are...
Lazlo Antal, "Competitive Pistol Shooting", A & C Black, 1989
Frank and Paul Leatherdale, "Successful Pistol Shooting", Crowood Press, 1995.

Hand Standl, "Pistol Shooting as a sport". Kaye & Ward, 1975.
The Antal book is out of print, but often available second-hand. The Leatherdale book can still be picked up new and IMHO is probably a slightly better introduction to the sport than the Antal. The Standl is my latest purchase (and new favourite), but it assumes that you already know the basics. It is more to do with improving scores and the psychology of pistol shooting.
See www.bookfinder.com to track down second-hand copies of any of these

Contact Neal Stepp at I.S.S. at iss@concentric.net to see about a copy of the Skanaker book. It's truly helpful as well.
