I know that in 10 meter air pistols the pistol is to be clear of the wrist at all times. I own a Izh-46m and my style of hold postions the adjustable grip shelf to be mighty close to my wrist on the heel of my palm. I want to shoot legitimitaly so can anyone describe to me what is considered your wrist? How close to the wrist can you get?

Hi.
The common test is as follows: hold the pistol, extend it at arm's length as if you are shooting, and tilt it downwards. If the butt comes in contact with your wrist, then the pistol will fail. Get out a Dremel tool or file and see what you can do.
