Anschutz 8001 Rifle Stock ?'s

Post by crashz28 »

Hey whats going on. Newbie here seeking information on a Anschutz 8001 rifle stock. I picked it up in a auction. I did some research online and have been directed to this site for the best results. So here is what i know. Its a Anschutz Model 8001 rifle stock only. Its finish is blue walnut. It does appear to be missing some hardware ie: adjustable butt stock and hardware to mount the cheek rest. It appears to be brand new. Some other forums have told me that this is one of the best and that it would always out shoot me lol. I have attached a stock photo of the stock i have and actual pictures taken last night.

What info am i looking for?

1- Value as a stock only?
2- How hard would it be to complete the rifle?
3- Is it worth buying all the components or sell the stock and get into something a more beginner oriented?

Your thoughts and info are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I found the stock only price from Anschutz North America for $995.00. I believe this is with the hardware based on the picture in the catalog.

It looks like the whole package on champchoice is $1,395.00

I am not sure where to buy an 8001 barreled action.
