Two questions; I'm looking at the Tikka 595 Sporter for target shooting (out to 1000 yards)and wanted some opinions on the rifle, and thoughts on .308 Win. and the 6.5 x 55 sw.
Thanks in advance.

I had a .223 last year and traded in for other rifle which was better suit for bench rest shooting. The Sporter felt great in so called High power positions, prone/standing/kneeling, but I had trouble of matching it to my other varmint rifle on the bench. Just for your information, I could not pass through reload stage of process, 1.5" ctc groups average just a bit wide for me to get any further load study. However, there are guys changed Sporter's barrel to suit their needs, and they love it.
Give it a try, isn't that the fun of owning a couple guns for every situation? By the way, its trade-in value was better than others.
