I have a TSN-1. I've been happy with it, but on some days and what seems like every match day I have a hard time seeming through mirage. Are there any spotting scopes that may better see through the mirage?
Thanks
Chad

Re: Spotting scope recommendation...
Nope.
No scope can handle through mirage. I have Kowa TSN663 and a friend of mine has TSN883. Sunny warm weather makes a problem as mirage does not allow to see 6.5mm holes in black @300m. Sometimes holes in white are hardly visible. Overcast day gives nice and clear sharp picture. Sometimes, setting a spotting scope at lower power can help.
The same problem applies to top names such as Zeiss, Swarovski and other brands.
Long range target shooters use spotting scope to asses mirage as it gives them a clue for wind reading. In this case they set focus at about 1/3 closer from target.
