Some of the people I shoot with up here in Bothell, Washington said that your board might be able to help me. I recently acquired a Rhöner free pistol. I would guess it was made in the 1980's. Do you have any idea where I might find a copy of the owner's manual, exploded view, or any such documentation so that I might work on it with a little more confidence? OK, so it's only a Rhöner, but I don't shoot well enough to have earned the right to a Pardini or Toz. Hopefully next year.

I think one of these is what is for sale on Gunbroker.com, item #11093116. You could contact the dealer who is selling it and ask if there is any documentation with it that they would be willing to copy for you. Another possibility would be to contact Robert Beeman who previously owned the Beeman company and, I believe, imported the guns for a period. He has his own website now; you can probably find it with Google. HTH

I have nothing to complain about regarding the Rhöner. The trigger on the one Toz I have shot was marginally better, but that may be because of adjustment. I am reluctant to mess with the Rhöner until I have some documentation to help keep me out of trouble (thus my request). I say "only a Rhöner" because it is my impression, from the little I have been able to find on the net and the quality of non-essential parts of the gun, that the pistol should not be considered as in the same class as Pardini, Hammerli, Morini, etc.
But I'm not shooting well enough, yet, to judge the comparative virtues of Free Pistols. Rhoner grips, unlike Beeman's import, are wrap-around. I don't know about the Beeman, but the grip angle is adjustable (if you are willing to sacrifice a bit of wood, and I have yet to see an FP grip that didn't look like it had been chewed on by the family dog).
Want pictures with the grips off? I can take some.

I was just thinking that Beeman (the company) may still have a manual that they will copy for you. I know many of my guns have stamped on them - contact (Daisy Marlin etc.) for a manual as part of their Product safety bit and some of these date back quite a ways.
