FWB 800 Evolution Velocity Adjustment?

Post by Mtl_Biker »

Two-part question... What's the optimum velocity the FWB 800 (Evolution Top in case that makes any difference) for this rifle? And which screw(s) adjust the velocity?

I'm not after maximum velocity, just whatever the gun is supposed to be most efficient at.

I'll be testing the gun through the Chrony tomorrow after work and while set up, if it's not already at the optimum velocity I'd like to make the adjustment.

Thanks for any help.

I was told that the FWB 800 seem to like 177-178 m/s best.

Thread that describes the velocity adjustment procedure. Its pretty straightforward.

Thank you. My rifle is shooting about 158 m/s, so it's lower than what you suggest. BUT it's shooting really consistently and accurately, so I'll probably just leave it as is. Thanks for the link.

WOW! That's very low for a new stock gun. My sons 800x new chronographed at 170-172 m/s. Can't argue with consistent and accurate however :)
