Re: Lubing tank threads on an FWB C55P
I don't have a C55P but I do have a little experience with lubing threads on airgun cylinders. I have found wax to work best. A good source of a nice soft greaselike wax is a toilet bowl wax ring. You can go to a hardware store and pick one up for a dollar or two and have a lifetime supply of the wax. On the threads on my rifles I have avoided solvents as much as possible. I generally press a paper towel into the threads with my fingernail and screw the cylinder out while pressing the towel into the thread- sort of chase the threads with the towel.

I generally use alcohol to clean the threads, and Dow vacuum grease to lubricate them.
