Centra rear iris mirror....what is it used for?
Wondering what is the Centra mirrored rear aperture used for? Is it meant to get your pupil centered behind the rear sight or something else?

Yes it is so that you can see that your pupil is exactly behind the sight.markgrabowski wrote:Wondering what is the Centra mirrored rear aperture used for? Is it meant to get your pupil centered behind the rear sight or something else?
You can also see how good you look while shooting :-)

Do you then take it off once you've set the cheek piece?

Personal preference. I shot with it on for a while but now use the MEC Duplex. Last time I noticed, Warren Potent uses the mirror in the finals.
Only warning I have is if the mirror moves in the holder it can move the impact point. I found this out when I was using one on a Gehmann iris on my fullbore rifle and all of a sudden my shots moved about 3 moa.
