A teammate of mine recently got a new rifle (Anschutz 8002 S2) and it came with a Contrast Front Aperture. I have not seen one of these one of these apertures before. I was interested in getting one for smallbore and one for air rifle and trying them out. I like the way it washes out the other everything and the solid ring.
Here is what I am talking about: http://www.champchoice.com/store/Main.a ... tem=972728
Does anyone have any pros and cons with these? How would they compare with using a color front aperture?
Thank you!

Re: Contrast Front Aperture Pros/Cons?
It looks to be a variation of the already popular Centra hi-end, so there's no reason why it shouldn't work. I've known shooters paint the chamfer on an ordinary Perspex element for the same reason. The only caveat is whether the thickness of the ring works for you; Centra make their version in different thicknesses.
Re: Contrast Front Aperture Pros/Cons?
Thank you Tim S! I didn't think about the thickness of the inside ring.
