Weight balance for the FWB AW93

I have a question for all you FWB AW93 users,
The gun has a very barrel light balance,
Have any of you found a way of adding weight to the muzzle end of the barrel?
Or under the barrel?

Have you considered sticking lead wheel weights on either side or underside of the locking device/lower shroud? Not pretty but functional. Could always be polished!

I was thinking of machining a piece of metal to fit the bottom shroud, and use set screws on the sides, with only a dimple for each screw on the shroud.
Will have to temporally add weights to determine what weight I need to machine.

I was also thinking of using lead sheeting with tape on the bottom.
Just don't think it will hold long term.

The double sided tape used with motorcycle wheel rim weights is pretty strong stuff and would hold in the long term I reckon.

I've used these rare earth magnets before. Quick and easy to use and require no modification. The recoil from a .22 is no problem for them to stay on. I see that they have plastic-coated ones now, which I would recommend. Warning: be careful not to get pinched by getting your finger between the magnet and the gun's steel.

harbor freight sells stick on weights in 1/4 and 1/2 oz packs with a dozen or so in each pack for cheap, the are the same width as the recoil buffer on the aw, i just clean with alcohol and stick on, you can stack them and they work great, easy to take off too if you want.

A contrary opinion.

I think the AW 93 is a perfectly balanced gun, with the regular heavy recoil buffer.

I have noticed that older people and women generally shoot better with a gun that is either perfectly balanced or muzzle light.

There isn't enough recoil with a 22 to make muzzle flip a bigger issue, than a stiff wrist, and good triggering on the part of the shooter.... So weighing the muzzle end, of a 22 has yielded nothing for me, except a case of tennis elbow....

I made a trip to Harbor Freight and picked up some of the large magnets,
and a box of the Motor Cycle stick on weights.
I used the magnets to determine the weight I would need.
They are powerful magnets, but the still move toward after each shot.
So this is not a good alternative.
I determined I like an additional 1 ounce.
So I used two of the 1/2 ounce stick ons.
They seem to hold very well.
