NRA rules concerning palm rest??

Post by fieldsj66 »

Is there a rule about how much vertical drop there can be from the center line of bore to the palm rest?

Can you manufacture one that theoretically allows the elbow to completely rest on hip to brace gun? That's not exactly what i want to do, but you get the idea.

See 7.4.5.2. The palm rest cannot extend more than 200mm below the centre of the barrel.

Here is the entire NRA rule from the NRA smallbore rulebook:

3.14 Palm Rest - A palm rest is an attachment or extension below the forearm which aids the normal hand grip and support of the piece by the forward hand and arm. The use of a palm rest in the standing position is allowed under Rules 3.1 and 3.2.

The reply from Tim S. is for USAS rules.
