Walther LG300 vs LG300 Junior differences

Post by nemo »

Greetings all,

well, it appears that LG300 Dominator that I have been looking for is an unobtanium, so I am now considering the LG300. Does anyone know what is the difference between the LG300 and the LG300 Junior? Is it just the stock size?

Kindest regards,

Stock size mostly. I also believe that the Junior normally comes with a shorter aluminum air cylinder than steel one on the full size rifle, although it still fills to 300 Bar. I'm also sure that the junior has an ambidextrous stock so can be shot by both right handers and lefties. As well as juniors it is also very well suited to ladies and those of small stature as most of the stock dimensions are a bit smaller than the full size rifle. I know a RobinC's (who posts on here) wife who is quite small shoots a LG400 action fitted in a 300 Junior stock with great effect.

Front sight holder is also different. And mind you, this can't be switched out with the standard 300 one!
The Dommie indeed is rare sechand. Fortunately, you can divert the LG300 (or even LG200 or LGM2) to Dommie specs.
Just dont forget the cocking lever..

Hi yana,

thank you for the additional information. Yes, I have found one link to the conversion. Do you have any additional information how to do that?

Differences, Stock smaller (suits ladies) barrel length and muzzle weight shorter, cylinder made of alloy and is shorter and lighter. Overal weight about 3.5 kg's.
Still listed but quite difficult to get, suspect it will be phased out at some time as all the advantages are possible to replicate with the new LG400 Alutec.
My wife just likes the size and ballance of the stock so has a special with a 300 junior stock with an LG400 action which requires simple mods to build.

Hi RobinC,

thank you for the reply. This rules the Jr. out.
