Twist rate Les Baer Wadcutter vs Standard Government barrel?

Post by chiltech500 »

Just received my Les Baer wadcutter and noticed when cleaning the gun the rifling looked slower than my other 45. Does anyone know what the twist rate is? Just curious, not really that important to me.

Why don't you check it yourself instead of guessing?

I have been away from Baer guns for some time now. I don't know of or haven't heard anything in the grapevine regarding a change in conventional twist rates.. 1 X 16 The only barrels I know that are slower is the Schumann gain twist..and it is easy to identify.
I have played some with faster twist rates, land to groove ratios, and I believe there is some promise there..
