Can Daisy 887 be used with pressurized air
Does any one know if the Daisy 887 can be used with SCBA pressurized air or does it have to be used with CO2.

Damon ... the 888 & 887 are strictly and only CO2 guns.
For one thing, you would blow the burst disks immediately if you tried to fill with air.
Daisy had been experimenting with an adapter cylinder/regulator air based system a few years ago, but the project really never went anywhere. I think the cost and potential liability issues killed the project.
The cost of an air based 887/888 ended up being way more expensive than the CMP sporter rules would allow ($525)

Thanks Joel. That is what I thought. Plus I noticed the price on the 887 has gone way up. Think I will advise the parents to stick to the Crosman CH2009S at Amazon for $475.
