Indoor air rifle range

Post by smbore12 »

How would I start building a three position indoor air rifle backstop?Where I could set up all three sets of targets at once.
Thanks Smbore12

Its easy if you don't over think it! Make a frame out of 2 by 6 that is wider than two targets and tall enough for standing. You are making a large rectangle 5 1/2in deep. It holds 6 targets. Have welding shop cut a piece of heavy steel the size of the back and cover the front with the heaviest cardboard you can scrounge. Cut a 3 or 4 foot square/rectangle of plywood in half diagonally to make 2 triangles. Screw to the bottom, one on each side so it wont tip over.

pm me and I can take pics if this doesn't make sense

"red's" right ... pretty easy
here are some plans on the CMP website
http://www.odcmp.com/Training/CoachingResources.htm

scroll down to Smallbore and Position Air Rifle Shooting
There are 3 styles in there ...
We use the Lujan style modified for a 24" wide cardboard sheet
