Steyr LP50 Velocity

Post by trainer10 »

I am looking for help on how to increase the velocity on an LP50 that I bought used. It chronos around 385 fps and I want to increase it to around 500 fps as it should be. I have tried adjusting the inner velocity screw, but around 425 fps the repeating function fails.
I also would like to trade an unaltered large grip for a medium grip.

For the grip post an add on the buy sell part of the forum.

Styer has a very complete service videos on there air guns, here's the link:

Unlike a single shot pistol, the LP50 uses part of the energy in each shot to cycle the magazine mechanism, so I don't think it would be possible to adjust much higher...

Remember, that pistol was design for shooting targets (paper or electronic) at 10 meters, not something else.

I've owned an LP5 and a LP50e over the time, and had the V0 up at around 165 m/sec on both. Never a problem with the function... But it sure uses a lot of air at those speeds. IME, the functioning has more to do with the trigger settings than the velocity, except if you go too low.
