Pardini SP1 RF hammer adjustment question

Post by Greg R »

Is it possible to adjust something on a SP1 RF electronic so that you get a harder hit from the pin. I am getting one or two shots per box of differing ammo that hits but doesn't go off, so thought it might be a strike problem. A lot of older pistols had an adjustment screw to make the spring and hammer strike harder, cannot find anything for this type of pistol. Any help appreciated.

chamber?

Post by FredB »

Just a thought, but 9 times out of 10 in my experience light hits are caused when rounds don't fully chamber. Have you tried thoroughly cleaning the chamber with a bronze brush? Does your ammo freely drop into the chamber when you try manually loading it?. If not, a round that is not fully chambered can absorb much of the striking force just by being pushed that final fraction of a mm into the chamber, and then will show a light hit.

Check for wear in the firing pin. If the round chambers well, as said by FredB, my next suspect would be the firing pin itself.

Hope this helps
