Week 7 Results

Week 7 results are in; Congratulations to all our Match 7 Winners. Rankings based on your averages will be adjusted and put back in place for next week. This week the results are listed by their brackets as set up after match 6.
We had some interesting results this week. In Team Competition, Whitehall came in first again with an outstanding score of 1578, led by Pete Steffan’s & Jim McGinis' 395. We had some very closes races Jamestown came in second for the first time this season edging out the Rough Riders with a score of 1566 to 1565. Jamestown was led by the shooting of Jen Canfield with her season high 394 an Plattsburgh was led by Peter Visconti also 394. Another closes race was between Capital City and Northfield for fifth and sixth Place. Both Teams fired a 1511 however; Capital City had the higher team standing score 358 to 349. Capital City was led by the shooting of Dan Lowe, a junior shooter, who fired a 396. This was Dan’s first match this season in our league. Still another close race was between the Sharpshooters 1457 and St Lawrence 1447.
In the prone division, it was a close race as usual, Rob Reil, of Burlington came out on top by shooting a perfect score of 400 with 34 center shots. Second place went to Peter Visconti 400/31 centers and third to Paul Deslierres 399/39 center shots.
Match 10 will be held at the Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club, on the Weekend of April 6/7. Relay times are Saturday 9am, 10:30, 12:00, & 1:30and Sunday 10:00 and 11:30. Please start sending in your request for relay assignments for your team.

Jamestown, The Jamestown Rifle Club took first place for the first time during week 8 of the VT Winter Postal League. The team fired a score of 1570 outshooting Whitehall who fired a 1566. This was the first defeat for Whitehall, a perenial powerhouse, since 2008. Jamestown's top four shooters this week were;Todd Hanson who fired a 395, David Allen 393, Jen Canifield 392, and Jim Schmitt Jr 390.

After 8 weeks of shooting Whitehall has a comanding lead in first place over the Plattsburgh Rough Riders. Another close race is between Capital City if Seatle who have a just a four point leader over the Aces of Plattsburgh.
