Postal match

Post by Red-feather »

I recieved info for a postal match and plan on shooting it soon.
How does one go about scoring....? I see numbers like 9.7, 10.3....etc...
Is there some kind of overlay or gauge I need to purchase to score my targets...?

****The numbers I used were random decimal...but have noticed that scores seem to go with them rather than just whole numbers*****

I haven't seen any postal matches where finals type decimal scoring is used. Most postals use either a 40 or a 60 shot format and have whole number er results. And yes, one can order a decimal scoring overlay... but why? Unless you are officiating at a match with a final to score there would be no need. Just score you targets according to whichever ring the pellet has touched or gone inside.
