Anschutz 2001 SuperAir
What years did they make the Anschutz 2001 single stroke pneumatic? Is there a way to determine what year one was manufactured?

The 2001 was made in the late '80s though early 90s. Anschutz will look up the build date for $50.00 per serial number. Not worth it to me.
Invest the 50.00 in RWS R10 match pellets. Either the pistol weight or the rifle weight will do - and both shoot to the same point of aim.
Vogels and the Chinese Qiang Yuan Match Pellets shoot really well too. This is my experience with 3 SuperAirs with scopes.
Quote from Champion Shooters Supply:
"In the 2012 Olympic Games, there are four air gun shooting events, during which 2 Gold medals and 2 Bronze medals were won with QiangYuan Airgun Pellets.
They are:
10m Air rifle women: Gold medal, Bronze medal;
10m Air pistol women: Gold medal;
10m Air rifle men: Bronze medal;
Qiang Yuan Pellets are once again the choice of top performers at the Olympic Games!"
Here's a lefty 2002 with a scope:

This is about all I know about SuperAirs and pellets.

Packrat1947. Thanks for the information. I'll have to try the Chinese pellets.
