Anyone know of a good way to break in a new pair of canvas shooting pants?

A month or two of hard practice and the pants will allow you to get into the pants easier. You want that stiffness as this helps provide the support besides the pants will loosen up on their own.

I was at a couple of matches where they measured the stiffness with an electronic meter. Both times they almost failed them before getting them to pass. After that I kept a copy of the inspection form and my stickers. Recently I started rolling the pant legs in both directions to break in the canvas but they still offer support. Hopefully no more problems at the inspection table.
