Agner M80 needs repair, but who?

Post by joel »

After years of shooting my M80, though moreso this last year, finally quit. The common problem with these pistols is the sear, but not likely the culprit here. After about 40 rounds yesterday, the trigger started to get a bit tight and I figured that perhaps it lost its setting. I thought I would finish out the magazine and then check it. It fired once more and was rather tight and wouldn't fire again. It won't even dry fire.

It's been suggested that the rather complicated safety system or the disconnector is in need of cleaning and maybe just needs disassembly and cleaning. The problem is that I don't have any paperwork for this pistol and am not confident enough to start tearing it apart.

Who would you recommend that I contact about checking out my pistol. It's a phenomenal shooting gun and I'd hate to make a paperweight out of it.

Thanks in Advance,

Joel

I don't know whether this link would give you the confidence to strip it down.

Nice find, thanks. It might as a last resort, but it still lacks in many details.

Ha, no, not too much help. I would really like a name or 3 for some competent gunsmiths that can disassemble this for me, clean it and put it back together.

Thanks,

Joel
