AHG 8002 "club" stock issues

Post by NikNak »

I have an AHG "club" air rifle made for the CMP. It has a small ambidextrous stock and I am looking for a larger stock.

Are there upgrade stocks available? I have been perusing AHG's website/catalogue, but have found nothing. I have also looked at Pilk, Champion Choice, Champion Shooter, ISS etc .... to no avail.

Your thoughts and direction are appreciated.

The ISS site is almost useless. If you call him, he will sell you just the stock. Same probably goes for the others as well.

Financially it would be better to sell the club rifle and buy a used 8002 aluminum. Stocks are so expensive. The aluminum stock is a great upgrade so do what you need to do to get one. Good luck.

Hey Niknak,

I'm currently looking for a Jr air rifle, I could be interested in yours if the price was right.

Thanks, Philip

Maybe run a ad looking for a trade with someone that wants a Jr. sized stock. Otherwise I also would suggest selling it and getting a full size as there are more differences than just the stock.

CMP evidently sold a couple of 8002 models under the "Club" designation. The one I have is the same blue laminate stock with the CMP logo on the right side of the buttstock. But it is the 8002 S2 model and has the barrel weights on what appears to be a longer bloop tube. I also think the air cylinder itself may be a bit larger.

They are some nice rifles. I really like mine a lot.

Good luck in your quest. If you decide to sell take a look at Walther LG's as well. I have one in the high power Hunter model and shot several 10m models they are also very nice and if you can fill to 300 BAR you can get a LOT of shots per fill.
