How can I tell if this trigger will fit in one of my rifles? Also have one from the early 70's that has a ss trigger.

Do you mean 1407 -U9?

If yes I am fairly sure that it will - and with a bit of luck Tim , Brian , or others will confirm it.

John

PS A number of posts on rimfirecentral on these triggers e.g. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/sh ... U9+trigger

Yes, it will fit. Triggers from Anschutz Match 54 rifles with the wing-safety on the bolt are interchangeable. Remove the old, and screw on the new. The hole for the fixing bolt at the front of the housing is more of a slot, so the trigger can be moved back and forth. The best position for the trigger is where the firing pin/cocking pin at the back of the bolt, doesn't move when the bolt is closed. The handle will move a little as it cams.
