USAS No National Appeal Board

Post by cmj »

Why does NRA, CMP have a National Appeal available but USAS does not? Without a National Appeal Board the local club can interpret, and or change the rules on a whim and there is no recourse. What your local jury decides is final, however wrong it may be. There is nothing to prevent the local Juries from running amok, they have the final decision. Yes it does happen . We need to let USAS know that they need to reinstate the National Appeal Board.

USAS had a national jury of appeal

USAS had a national jury of appeal and in over 10 years such an appeal was never lodged. Therefore it was deleted from USAS Rules.

Very possible was never used because it was there and available and everyone knew it and it kept things in check. Take it away and everybody knows the restrictions are off at the local level.

I think the local shooters keep the local juries in line. Shooters will not support a poorly run match.
