We're in trouble now

Post by Rover »

I was told that Bullseye shooter Steve Reiter (five times National Champion with National Records in the teens) just bought an air pistol "to practice with."

He has never shot International pistol before, but I give him about a month before he sets the National Record for old farts and snags the National Championship, too.

And I was SO hoping...

I think if you look you find Steve was an Olympian in 1980 , I could be wrong, but Steve has plenty of international experience .

My bad. He was a Free Pistol shooter on the 1980 Olympic team that boycotted the Olympics.

When I asked him about air pistol (Why aren't you shooting that?), he laughed and said he had no interest.

He also shot Standard Pistol and Centre Fire Pistol in the 1986 World Championships in Suhl.

From memory he was using .38 semi-automatic and had a maxim, putting a shot into the overhead baffles and making the whole range ring like an alarm clock.

LOL. That's a funny anecdote. It would have been great to have been there at the time.
