Stock Project: New Hardware "Lots Of Pictures"
I Just felt Like Sharing what im up too,
If you have any questions just ask.
My best before Pictures
This Failed the CC But hook so i decided to go one step better
I Also decided I dont like this stripe
and I dont like the stained color of the wallnut
And the progress I made today
Did Some reshaping where the bolt had damaged the cheek rest
No plug cutters I have are 7/8” inch so I made what I needed on the wood lathe
Below: I cut part of the stock in this picture to make the angle line up better.

It isn't a wax, its made by a company called minwax they make lots of stains wood hardeners sealers and other wood products.tsokasn wrote:Fantastic job!!!
Can you tell me some details about the finishing paint?
Is it plain wax or did you coloured the stock first?
What I used is there semi gloss polyurathane clear coat. I prefer a more natural color over the deep stain anschutz used.

I'm also doing a custom project, & have a few questions if you don't mind.
I'm planning in putting a different action into an Anschutz stock.
So,

umm i think what you are seeing it the attaching base i sandend it down wile reshaping the butt to line up with the new plate.3) in the 4th pic, what is the white butt pad ?
thank you this process only took about 4 days there are some things i would like to change like the plugs i made but i am happy with how the stock turned out. i only hope it works out for me next i am still planning to Bed or have bedded.I really like how you re-contorted the forend. It's a very elegant design
Thanks
