Walther Free Pistol Question

Post by Bob LeDoux »

Th newer Walther Free Pistol electronics board used surface mount components and individual headers for wire groups. Does anyone have a picture showing how this board was placed in the gun forearm?

I have an older gun where the power switch threaded bushing passes through a hole in the board and then up through the metal forearm cover. But the newer board appears to have separated the switch from the board. I don’t understand how there was room for both components in the limited available space.

I’ve included a factory drawing of the newer board for detail.
