pressure gauge failure - FWB 700 jnr

Post by skylark »

My daughter's pressure gauge has failed on her FWB junior air cylinder. It permanently reads empty.

The cylinder appears to be fine, we have been assured that it's fine, she's been shooting with it fine, it's apparently just a spring which is broken. But obviously this isn't ideal and we'd like her to not have a cylinder with no gauge on it.

Anyone have any words of wisdom on this? Easy fix? Not worth it fix? No, no, get a new cylinder time? Do-it-yourself or send it to Germany?

Anyone have any words of reassurance for a .22 shooter mum about filling the darn thing? It's been on a plane flight and is flat empty right now, it has to get filled tomorrow...

Sounds like just the ticket for those plane flights.

I had one permanently disabled on my Steyr pistol to reduce possibility of leakage. I use a 100 shot pellet box and refill the gun (or change cylinders) when the box is empty, though it will shoot a while longer.
