I normally use a "Patch Worm" cleaning device to pull a patch from the breech to the muzzle of my Crosman and Baikal air guns but the breech opening on my Daisy Avanti 753 is too short to allow the 17 cal sleeve with patch to be inserted.
What is the normal procedure for cleaning the bore on any of the Daisy Avanti rifles?

How to clean a 753 barrel?

You only need to clean the bore once a year even with heavy useage. We always used a bronze brush on a brass rod. Dieter Anschutz himself told me to clean the bore on my 2002 the same way.
he told me a rod guide wasn't necessary and just be careful. He also said to use a scrubbing motion 3 to 4 inches in front of the chamber.
After brushing we would run a patch of 30 wt non detergent motor oil followed by dry patches until dry.

Thank you
Much less than I had expected.

As I recall when I used a brush on my .22RF, you could not change directions in the middle of the barrel, you had to push it out then change directions. Problem was the length of the bronze bristles made it VERY difficult to change directions in the barrel.
If the .177 bristles are shorter (relative to the barrel) then changing directions in the barrel would be possible.
