I am 6'3" with long arms and am starting to shoot air rifles, coming more from pistol and trap. My shotguns have a LOP of around 15 1/4". I have been using a FWB 603, but can only get the LOP to around 13.5". Can people help with the maximum LOP on more recent air rilfes like the Anschutz 8002, FWB 700, or Steyr?
Thanks,
Michael

The easiest is to build some spacers (I use 1/4" hardboard) to insert between the wooden butt and the buttplate. You can make as many as needed, and make small adjustments easily as you decide to go onger or shorter. I've also taper sanded some of them (thinner on one edge) so I could get some "cast off" in the butt end. Be careful not to get crosswise with the rules when doing this, as some adjustments can be made, but others are restricted in combinations.
Pat's suggestion is probably the easiest. Failing that most new guns have adjustable buttplates and you could consider just getting a new buttplate and fixing rods. You would of course need to check that it would fit on your gun.
As mentioned if you shoot ISSF competitions make sure you stick within the rules (or of course any other local rules that you may shoot competitions under).
