Trigger Release

Hi,
So I've been concentrating on my trigger release for the last few weeks, here's what I think is happening. While I'm releasing the shot the trigger kinda gets ahead of my finger, if that makes any sence?? The trigger blade leaves my finger behind a little.

I make sure my finger pressure and pull is consistant, could it be I need to speed up my shot release?

Can't quite make out what you mean by getting ahead of your finger. When you release the shot you will keep your finger on the trigger to allow the follow through with the trigger, this is, you release the shot but your finger will still be moving backwards on the trigger.If the trigger moves from your finger, are you releasing the shot and removing your finger off the trigger at the same time.

I don't think I'm removing my finger from the trigger once the shot is released, its like the trigger snaps away from my finger, as in when the shot release's the trigger seems to jump ever so slightly towards me, I'm not sure if thats making anymore sence?
Perhaps my trigger release is sooo terrible I dont realise I'm moving my finger from the trigger???

What's the make of rifle Denton, your either very very gentle on the shot release to feel the trigger jump back slightly or is the trigger set very light, sounds as though as the sear breaks there is some mechanical movement.

Could it be that your grip is so light that the recoil momentarily causes finger contact to be broken?

If it really is as you say (and not your perception of what you think is happening) then it sounds like a faulty or very cranky trigger. What gun are we talking about ?

I'm going to guess the gun is a FWB. When I was shooting a FWB 600 for air, the trigger did not push back on my finger as much as my Anschutz smallbore trigger does. It took some getting used to, and what I felt could be described as above.

To answer some questions:
I shoot a Bleiker Challanger so I don't think its a mechanical issue, well I hope not... and yes my grip is very light. I think it maybe possible that the recoil is moving the rifle back although the rifle feels tight in my shoulder...
Perhaps I could try to add some weight to the trigger?

Have you tried asking Bleiker; I've heard extremely complimentary things about their customer service.

Problems with their triggers are not totally unheard of.
