Edelmann vs. Kruger targets?

Post by Guest »

I'm going to buy some good targets for the first time, and I was wondering if anyone sees any real differences between the Edelmann and the Kruger. Has anyone compared them closely? If so, what did you find?

They are almost identical. Both are ISSF approved and therefore made to very high specifications. I personally use and buy Kruger targets for both myself and the club, but that's because they are cheaper and easier to get in bulk.

I find the Kruger easier (and cheaper) to get also. Their customer service is very good. It was the selection of targets available from Kruger that helped me make my decision. I've all the AP training training targets too. I believe Edelmann do these too, but I could never find where to get them easily.

Who, in the U.S.A., sells the Kruger targets?

Thanks,

Shipping is steep across the ocean, and you bear the risk of lost targets during shipping (happened to me - box fell apart, and I received the mailing label and a form letter from the USPS - "Sorry - we lost your stuff. Here's what's left of your box").

Buying in large quantity (multiple thousands at a pop) didn't seem to make an appreciable difference in shipping costs per kg....no apparent economies of scale.

Had an email from Gold medal a few days ago, 4/27

"We wanted to provide an update to you regarding our relationship with Krüger Targets. Effective immediately, we have decided to end our relationship with Krüger as a distributor."

They said they had a significant supply, but one they out they be out.
