Newbie looking for direction

Post by Bestshooter »

Hey guys,
I'm interested in getting into competition 10m rifle competing. I'm not sure of where to even start . I live in Georgia and would like to know if someone could lead me where to go to join club/ training facility to do this . Also not sure what rifle I should get I have been looking at the fwb p70 and 700 of course as well as the LG30. What would you guys recommend as a beginning gun ? Where can I go to find match info too ?

Thanks any info is appreciated

A few other questions here: Georgia is a pretty big state. Where about in Georgia? Second, are you a teenager, collegiate, adult?

Looking at the USA Shooting (governing body for the US Team) website there is one club located in Eatonton, GA.:

Flyin' V Sports

Contact a fellow named:Craig Hancock, chancock(at)hughes.net

Phone:(706) 484-1528

Depending which side of Macon you are on this might be OK or he might be able to give you better leads to anything in your immediate area.

Oh yeah, at 31 you would be just a regular adult shooter, no junior, no senior, just a competitor.
