What is correlation between 1st stage/ 2nd stage travel?

Post by seamaster »

Please educate me on the correlation between first stage travel and second stage travel.

On my LP10, it seems lengthening my first stage travel, somehow shortened my second stage travel (over travel).

I am not sure it is true, but it feels that way.

Also, if I lengthened first stage travel a bit more, the trigger just locked up.

So please educate me on the correlation between first stage and second stage travel.

When you touch the screw which regulates the first stage travel you have to re-adjust the trigger stop screw. The screw that regulates the first stage travel is not "neutral", in the sense that it changes a bit the geometry or, to say it better, the action on the trigger lever.
