OK, I know we can't have anything to support the ankle during formal competition, but is there any wavier for medical reasons?
I managed to severely sprain my ankle over the weekend, and doubt I will be out of a boot before the spring small bore match the first week of March. Anybody know if a waiver can be done for medical reasons? Am I stuck and have to bow out?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

No.
You can always ask but I'm 101% sure the answer would be no.
That said unless you've done other damage like torn ligaments a sprain should be pretty much better if you take care of in over a month (a broken ankle would almost have been heeled). even if not completely heeled it might be good enough to stand on and shoot with the support of your rifle boots.
Not sure how important this comp. is to you but there are treatments that may speed it up some are controversial such as Actovegin and Blood Spinning and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Both are still allowed by Wada. Not that I'd go that route or council anyone to go that route.
