Olympic Rapid Fire

Post by B_Koes »

What are the pistols & ammo that is most commonly used for this even since it moved away from .22 short? I've been doing some searches this afternoon to satisfy my curiosity but have not been able to find any useful information.

Hi,

I'm shooting rapid with Walther SSP, using Lapua standard ammo. Lapua also has a special ammo, designed to decrease recoil.

Regards,

Akin

I also use Walther SSP and any of Lapua Standard (in tins of 500), Lapua Pistol King, and Midas M.
I would be interested to know in what situations one would use Lapua OSP rather than Pistol King eg standard pistol or rapid-fire, or even free pistol.

At the moment I am using my Matchguns MG2RF with Eley Sport ammo, although for some comps I will use Tenex.

My wife is using a Morini CM22RF with CCI SV and Eley Sport ammo.

Cheers

The stats from the last World Championship strongly favor Pardini...they have about 70% of the market. But don't take that for gospel, as matters are not settled.
